Live AI Translate (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-powered translation, photo translation, OCR, voice translation, live translation, AI keyboard, Ask AI, Write, Reply, Continue, Spell Check, and related language assistance features.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, what data may be transmitted to third-party providers, how users provide or withdraw permission, and how long data is retained. This Policy applies to the Live AI Translate mobile application and related services. Platform-specific items are noted where applicable.
1. What data does the App obtain?
1.1 Content you actively provide when using features
Depending on the feature you choose to use, the App may temporarily process the following data solely to complete your user-initiated request:
- Text input and prompts: text you type or paste for translation, Ask AI, AI keyboard, Write, Reply, Continue, or Spell Check.
- Images and OCR text: photos or images you capture or select for photo translation, and text recognized from those images.
- Voice audio and transcribed text: audio you record or provide for voice translation or live translation, and the resulting transcription.
- Translation results and AI replies: generated translations, suggested replies, writing outputs, summaries, corrections, and related AI outputs.
- Support communications: information you voluntarily provide when contacting us for support, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, device details, and issue description.
We do not use the above user-provided content for our own model training, advertising targeting, or sale to third parties.
1.2 Automatically collected technical and usage data
To operate, secure, analyze, improve, and monetize the App, we and our third-party SDK providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage data, such as:
- Device model, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, time zone, network status, and performance information.
- App usage events, feature usage, session duration, button clicks, subscription screen views, error logs, and crash reports.
- Advertising and attribution information, such as ad impressions, ad clicks, campaign identifiers, install source, IDFA or other advertising identifiers when permitted by your device settings and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
- Approximate location inferred from IP address by advertising, analytics, attribution, or security providers. We do not request precise GPS location for translation features unless a future feature clearly requires it and you grant permission.
1.3 Purchase and subscription data
If you make an in-app purchase or subscription, Apple StoreKit and the App Store process the payment. We may receive subscription status, product identifier, purchase date, expiration date, renewal status, and transaction metadata needed to unlock, restore, and manage premium features. We do not receive or store your credit card number or full payment account details.
1.4 Local storage on your device
The App may store preferences, language settings, consent status, cached content, translation history, and similar app data locally on your device. Local data remains under your device control. You may delete it through in-app settings where available, by clearing app data where supported, or by uninstalling the App.
2. How do we collect data?
We collect data in the following ways:
- Directly from you: when you type text, select a photo, record voice, use AI features, make a purchase, or contact support.
- Automatically from the App: when the App generates diagnostics, usage events, crash logs, advertising events, attribution events, or purchase status events.
- Through system permissions: when you grant iOS permissions such as Camera, Photos, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Notifications, or App Tracking Transparency.
- From third-party platforms: such as Apple App Store purchase status, advertising attribution providers, analytics providers, and crash reporting providers.
3. How do we use data?
We use data only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:
- Providing text translation, photo translation, OCR, voice translation, live translation, AI keyboard, Ask AI, Write, Reply, Continue, Spell Check, and related features.
- Processing your user-initiated requests through AI, translation, OCR, and speech providers.
- Operating, maintaining, securing, debugging, and improving the App.
- Measuring app performance, feature usage, crashes, subscription performance, and campaign attribution.
- Serving and measuring advertisements through Google AdMob and related advertising tools, subject to your consent and device settings.
- Managing purchases, subscriptions, refunds, restore purchases, and fraud prevention.
- Responding to support requests and legal obligations.
4. AI, translation, OCR, and speech processing
Some features cannot work entirely on-device. When you actively request translation, OCR, voice recognition, or AI processing, your input may need to be transmitted over an encrypted connection to one or more third-party providers solely to complete your request.
4.1 User permission before transmission
Before transmitting your text, selected images, OCR text, voice audio, transcribed text, prompts, or AI replies to third-party AI, translation, OCR, or speech providers, the App presents a clear in-app notice and obtains your permission. If you tap “Disagree” or do not grant the required system permission, the App will not transmit the relevant content to that provider, and the corresponding feature may be unavailable or limited.
4.2 Protection commitments for AI and technical processing
When third-party providers process data on our behalf, we require them, through applicable contracts, service terms, security measures, and technical configurations available to us, to provide the same or equivalent level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable Apple guidelines. Our commitments include:
- Service purpose only: providers process data only to complete your user-initiated translation, OCR, speech recognition, or AI request.
- No independent commercial use: providers are not permitted to use your submitted content for their own marketing or independent commercial purposes.
- No model training by us: we do not use your original translation content, images, voice recordings, prompts, or AI replies to train our own models. Where third-party API settings or contractual terms allow, we configure or require providers not to use your submitted content for model training.
- Limited retention: we do not store your original content on our own servers. Third-party providers may temporarily process or retain limited data according to their own security, abuse monitoring, legal, or service operation requirements. We require processing to be limited to what is necessary for the requested service.
- Encrypted transmission: content is transmitted using encrypted API or system transmission methods where technically supported.

5. AI Keyboard and Allow Full Access
Live AI Translate may provide an optional AI Keyboard extension. The keyboard is designed to help you translate, rewrite, reply, continue, spell check, or generate language assistance directly from the keyboard interface.
If you enable the Live AI Translate keyboard and turn on Apple’s “Allow Full Access” permission, the keyboard may technically access the text you type, paste, select, or submit through the Live AI Translate keyboard so that it can provide the feature you requested. The keyboard is not intended to collect everything you type on your device, and it does not access text entered through other keyboards.
We do not collect or store keyboard input on our own servers. Keyboard-related text is processed only when you actively request a keyboard feature, such as Translate, Ask AI, Write, Reply, Continue, or Spell Check. When cloud processing is required, the necessary text, prompt, context, or generated result may be transmitted through an encrypted connection to the relevant AI or translation provider listed in this Policy solely to complete your request.
We do not send keyboard input to advertising, attribution, or analytics SDKs. We do not use keyboard input for our own model training, marketing, or independent commercial purposes. Please do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information into the AI Keyboard.
You can disable the Live AI Translate keyboard or turn off “Allow Full Access” at any time in iOS Settings. If “Allow Full Access” is disabled, certain cloud-based AI keyboard features may not work or may be limited.
6. Analytics, attribution, advertising, crash reporting, and purchase providers
We use third-party SDKs to understand app performance, measure advertising effectiveness, show ads, detect crashes, prevent abuse, and manage purchases. These providers do not receive your original translation text, photos, voice recordings, prompts, OCR text, or AI replies for advertising or analytics purposes.

7. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
The App may show advertisements through Google AdMob or related advertising technologies. Advertising may be contextual or, where you provide permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, may use advertising identifiers or cross-app data to measure or personalize ads. You can control tracking permission in iOS Settings at any time.
We do not send your original translation content, photos, voice recordings, prompts, OCR text, or AI replies to advertising networks for ad targeting.
8. When do we share data?
We may share limited data only in the following situations:
- With service providers: to provide AI, translation, OCR, speech recognition, analytics, attribution, advertising, crash reporting, purchase management, security, and support services described in this Policy.
- With your permission: where the App requests consent before sending content to third-party AI, translation, OCR, or speech providers, or where Apple system permissions are required.
- For legal and safety reasons: when necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights, investigate fraud, or respond to lawful requests.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your original translation content, images, voice recordings, prompts, OCR text, or AI replies.
9. Third-party protection requirements
Any third party with whom we share user data is required to provide the same or equivalent protection of user data as stated in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable Apple guidelines. We use third-party providers only where they support security, confidentiality, access control, contractual protection, technical safeguards, and purpose-limited processing appropriate for the service they provide.
10. Managing your data and choices
- AI processing consent: you may decline the in-app consent prompt. If you decline, the relevant AI, translation, OCR, or voice feature may not work because the required processing will not occur.
- System permissions: you can manage Camera, Photos, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Notifications, and Tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
- Local history: you can delete locally stored translation history or app data where the App provides such controls, or by uninstalling the App.
- Advertising choices: you can disable tracking permission in iOS Settings and reset or limit advertising identifiers according to your device settings.
- Support and deletion requests: you may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or revocation of consent for data we control.
11. Data retention and deletion
We do not store your original translation content, selected images, voice recordings, prompts, OCR text, or AI replies on our own servers. Local history and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
Technical, analytics, attribution, crash, advertising, subscription, and support records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, improve performance, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Where possible, analytics data is aggregated, de-identified, or minimized.
Third-party providers may retain limited data according to their own service, security, abuse-prevention, and legal requirements. Their privacy policies are linked above.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards include encrypted transmission where technically supported, access controls, limited-purpose processing, and monitoring of third-party SDK integrations. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
13. International transfers
Because our service providers operate globally, data may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live. We take steps designed to ensure that such processing is protected according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete or restrict such data.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and post the revised Policy at this page. Your continued use of the App after the revised Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
